Stale bread crumb cake, glazed with chocolate
I learned this recipe from an “instagramer”, but with personal
touches.
In this
article we will see the steps to have a delicious chocolate cake, with – as the
main ingredient – stale bread crumbs; let's see together:
Recipe:
Ingredients: for a round
mold of 22 cm in diameter, or a square mold of 20 cm 2:
· 200g stale bread crumbs;
· 50g peanut powder or toasted almonds (optional, which you replace with breadcrumbs);
·
1 tablespoon of cocoa;
· 75g of margarine;
· 75g of honey;
· 100 g of chocolate (for the icing).
Preparation:
· In a pan and with a wooden spoon, brown the
breadcrumbs until they are golden brown;
· Let – completely – cool;
· Melt the margarine: in a saucepan;
· Remove this saucepan from the heat, and add the
honey;
· Let this
mixture cool;
· Put the breadcrumbs in a salad bowl;
· Incorporate the peanut powder (or others…) and
the cocoa: mix;
· Pour the mixture from the pan: we
want it “cooled” to keep the crunch of the toasted breadcrumbs :
mix everything well, using a “Maryse” spatula or your hand, to have a paste;
· Pack the latter into the chosen mold (mentioned
above): level the surface well;
· Melt the chocolate in a bain marie ;
· Frost the cake, which you can decorate it your
way;
· Let cool well before
cutting.
There are many ways to “recycle” stale bread

.cema-vie.com/2020/11/pudding-au-chocolat-banane-chocolate.html ...), otherwise, it would be inhumane to
throw it away.
Sometimes you
just need simple ingredients to make meals, including delicious desserts,
cakes, desserts... as well as economical recipes to prepare for every moment of
the day.
Thus, a “delicacy” to prepare as a snack, or –
why not – to serve for our guests; let's be sure that no one will know
that it's made from stale bread.
