I learned how to take care of my hair using
organic and – really – inexpensive products.
Have you ever heard of the benefits of “okra” for
hair? And how can these benefits be obtained? Here are the answers in
this article.
But first, let's see what okra is:
Okra, also called okra, is an original vegetable
known in the cuisine of the African, American and Asian continents. They
are pyramidal in shape, eaten raw or cooked and taste a bit like eggplant.
The benefits of okra on the hair:
· Scalp Nourishment:
Okra contains antioxidants such as polyphenols,
in addition to a high percentage of minerals, such as: iron, magnesium,
calcium, potassium, zinc, and a group of vitamins, such as: vitamin A, vitamin
B, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K.
These are all important in supporting scalp
health, as they strengthen hair strands and make them shinier, and they also
fight the free radical damage the scalp is exposed to every day.
Moisturizing hair:
Okra is about 90% water, which makes okra an
excellent natural moisturizing ingredient.
In addition, okra also contains 2% protein,
which is important for maintaining the moisture balance of hair strands.
· Promote scalp health:
Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, this
vegetable helps prevent scalp irritation and dandruff caused by toxins, as well
as dryness or vitamin deficiencies.
It also contains antibacterial that fight hair
problems caused by germs and bacteria.
Okra Mask:
You can do this mask every week:
· Ingredients: (for medium to long hair)
ü 5 or 6 “okra”
ü 1 glass of
water
ü Coconut oil (1
tablespoon)
· Preparation :
ü Cut the okra
horizontally in a saucepan, then add water to it and put it on the stove;
ü Boil over low
heat until a sticky gel forms.
ü Filter, then add
the oil: mix the all;
ü Apply to clean
and – preferably – damp hair, from the roots to the ends;
ü Cover your hair
with cling film, and leave to act between one and four hours;
ü Wash your hair
as usual.
The result, after tenacity, will be
silky and healthy hair, so never get discouraged … Thank you.
