Qualifications
for the World Cup:
Ø 1982: the Algerian football team qualifies for the first time, for the
twelfth edition of the World Cup, which was held in Spain, from June 13 to July
11, 1982, with coach Rabah Saâdane .
Rabah Saâdane: born May 3, 1946 in Batna. A former
footballer turned coach, nicknamed "the wise man" by
Algerians.

Africa Cup of Nations 2019:
With the coach Djamel Belmadi ( since August 2, 2018 with the Algerian team ): nicknamed - by the Algerians - " the minister of happiness " ( وزير السّعادة).
