Recipe: cookies - shortbread - with coconut and chocolate
I've learned that my kids' favorite cookies - or shortbread cookies - are those with chocolate, so I try to introduce this “gourmet” food into the majority of my cakes, desserts and desserts. Nothing is better to prepare your own cakes or anything else to eat.
The next recipe - with
inexpensive ingredients - is for Crispy Biscuits, whose combination of coconut
and chocolate gave them a delicious taste.
Recipe:
§ Ingredients : for about thirty
pieces:
· 100g of softened butter (or
margarine);
· 100ml of oil;
· 100g of icing sugar;
· 2 egg yolks;
· 50g of grated coconut;
· 2 tablespoons of cocoa;
· 2 tablespoons of custard
powder - chocolate flavor -;
· Vanilla or orange zest;
· 1 packet of baking powder;
· Flour to pick up.
§ Preparation:
1. In a bowl-salad bowl, or in
the kneading bowl, put the butter, oil and icing sugar: mix well using a manual
whisk or with the “sheet” (the paddle) of the kneader;
2. Add the egg yolks, coconut,
cocoa, custard powder (optional but it gives an improvement to our
cookies) , flavor and wash: mix again to obtain a homogeneous mixture;
3. Incorporate - little by little
- the flour in order to have a nice firm dough: keep 15 minutes in the fridge;
4. Form croissants that you place
on a floured platter; or with a pastry bag with a fluted nozzle, shape
sticks - directly on this tray;
5. Leave it in the fridge, the time to heat (for 15 minutes) the oven to 180 °;
6. Bake for 20 minutes (watching
the cooking);
7. Let cool ;
8. Decorate these
"cookies" with chocolate frosting. You can also let your
creations play by adding coconut (on the icing) or colored vermicelli.
These cookies - shortbread -
coconut and chocolate will be well presented with tea, chocolate milk, coffee
... or even taken if we are invited to our loved ones. And enjoy your
meal.
