Oatmeal rolls
Oatmeal rolls
I learned to integrate, little
by little, the oatmeal in my culinary preparations, when I discovered the
innumerable benefits of this " cereal commodity ",
therefore and since, I replace in each recipe, the third of the amount of flour
per oatmeal.
With an exceptional capacity (8.4 g per 100 g), oats have a definite effect on transit, in fact what makes this “food” so famous are its insoluble fibers ; but, it should be known that the consumption of oats, must obligatorily join a large quantity of water because it sponges all the liquids present.
The recipe below is that of
nutritious and delicious buns, which goes with a good soup and / or a
salad, and the details are as follows:
Recipe:
§ Ingredients:
· 50g of oatmeal;
· 3 eggs ;
· 1 teaspoon of brewer's yeast;
· 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
· 1 tablespoon of sugar;
· 3 tablespoons of oil;
· 1 teaspoon of salt;
· 150g of flour, or more to collect the dough.
§ Preparation:
1. In a salad bowl or in the kneading bowl, put the
eggs, oil, yeasts and sugar: mix by hand or using a fork or a whisk;
2. Add the oatmeal, flour and salt: collect
everything, working - a little - the dough. Let stand for - minimum - 30
minutes.
3. On a floured work surface or on a silicone mat,
roll out - with a roller - the dough to a thickness of 5 mm;
4. Using cutters, cut the dough into shapes of your
choice that you place on a floured tray;
6. Turn on the oven at 180 °;
7. After a quarter of an hour, (after having
sprayed them with water with a spray bottle) put the rolls in the oven for
20 minutes (watch the cooking);
8. When they reach a golden color, take the rolls
out of the oven and let cool on a rack.
Serve warm for lunch, dinner,
or even for breakfast with a jam or a spread, accompanied by your favorite
drink. These breads are also practical for an outing, but don't forget to
also take water and / or juice...
Let's opt for a healthy and
balanced diet, and Enjoy your meal.
