Dry biscuits: Easy and economical recipe
Dry biscuits
Easy and economical recipe
I learned this recipe from my mom :
it was my first cakes that I made at a young age ; a simple recipe for dry
cookies, economical and quick to make, for breakfast, for an outing, for a
children's party or even to taste it.
In Algerian society, when we are invited to have coffee and / or tea with
friends, or with family members, we have taken the ply to take - with us -
cookies or some sort of dessert or homemade cakes: and so the snack will be
well stocked and delicious.
Recipe:
Ø Ingredients:
· 100 g sugar;
· 1 teaspoon of
orange zest (or lemon);
· 1 packet of
baking powder;
· 1 pinch of
salt ;
· 1 pinch of
vanilla;
· 2 tablespoons
ground peanuts, coconut, ground almonds….
· 1 egg ;
· 1 tablespoon
softened butter (or margarine),
· ½ glass of
oil (about 70 ml)
· 1 tablespoon
of honey (optional)
· Flour to pick
up.
Ø Preparation:
1. Turn the oven on 180 °;
2. In a bowl / salad bowl put all the ingredients apart from the flour: mix
well, by hand or with a whisk to have a homogeneous mixture;
3. Gradually add the flour, until a nice firm dough is obtained;
4. Form balls the size of an apricot, and place on a floured baking sheet;
5. Bake for 20 minutes, monitoring the cooking;
6. Take out of the oven; let cool and decorate your way.
For girls - and even boys (why not) - who want to learn to cook and put
their hands in the dough, this kind of recipe is made for them, and as
Mrs. Barbara Costikyan said: " In the memories of 'Every good cook's
childhood is a large kitchen, a cooking stove, a baking cake and a mother'.
And enjoy your meal.
